    • Is it just me or is the Hills scratch of the day offer a loser every day now. Always got something for the last year but every one this week was a loser?

Think i've had one 'win' from it in months and it wasn't even a win really, just one of those 'if xx scores, you get a ?1 free bet!' type ones.
However, not sure if everyone is aware but if you click 'show my winnings' just underneath the scratchcard then it opens up a separate bit which I find probably half the time gives 5 free spins, which are useful to chip away with and come up with the occasional decent win.

not sure if anyone else has this generally, the thing rarely ever works on my phone anyway so just given up with it. whenever it does work, never win anything decent anyway. i'm heavily restricted with them on horses so not sure if that's a factor in my lack of / quality of winning scratches

This seems to happen to me 2 or 3 times a year.

They had a larger number of members last season at 8500.

I'm not sure they'll do much at all to help their viewing, seating, raceday experience.

There's nothing different in their Annual Membership Renewal pack to indicate theyve listened at all.

From what I witnessed last season they're more interested in bringing in packs of people looking to dress up a bit and get hammered, who see racing as a sideline to an afternoon on the lash.

Rather than look after racegoers that are their for the Racing, and want to move around the racecourse to see horses in the paddock and on the track, and maybe - dare I say it - have a seat without paying an extra gbp 80 a day for the privelege.

I don't think they've taken any notice, the Renewal info doesn't suggest anything, so it would look to be too late.

                    They'll probably repeat last season.

It was too packed in there in March, but really they wont care until theyre forced to care.

                      • Phoned to enquire about membership renewal. Was told they are looking specifically at members areas and seating. I won’t hold my breath, but it appears that there has been more than a few comments on room for improvement.

                          OK thanks.
Interestingly this was a subject I shared with them, the whole set up of the members bar is poor, too much bulky furniture, food bar with condiment station in middle of bar area, toilets past the bar, the design os just poorly thought out, works fine for leaser meetings but for 8500 it doesn’t…

                          • No point in talking to the course.

Don't HSE and the local council have the power to restrict them to a 'safe' number in attendance? About 60000 with the current set-up in my opinion.

Same ownership as Blackbow, Mt Leinster and Pink In The Park, among others.
