Well not many actually won, but as said a few ran well.
This is Cheltenham, and my experience over many years tells me to be flexible and imaginative, and in the case of races that are supposed to have horses running on equal terms, even though they turn out not to be….do not be too dogmatic about backing horses because of price or trainer.
That does not always pay off, but often does, and for me personally has done me ok this week.

          That’s Cheltenham for you!!
Not an easy game, nor should it be.
Its a challenge we should all relish though.

            • The markets have been proper NKFA this year haven't they? Drifts and plunges and back again all day long

              • ….suspect I’m not alone in taking the Bob O and Bob O/Honey to remain unbeaten offers. Bob looked out on his feet yesterday, not sure if anything was said afterwards but I hope for a number of reasons he’s put away for the season now.

I have the same ticket and would be over the moon if he put his feet up for the year now

Yeah my thoughts entirely! Both have the 3 qualified runs so more than happy for both to go on holiday! Honeysuckle will probably turn up at Punchestown but hopefully Bob is already on the tinnies with his feet up.

                        • I loved the Bumper delay with Jane Mangan ranting at the hold-up.
Jane wants to know what's the hold-up and Nick Luck explains it's standing water where the hurdle was in situ earlier.
Jane so whats the problem, it's a puddle in Ireland we run through them.
NL no it's not that simple because where there was a hurdle in the ground has left a small hole.
Jane why can't someone tip a bucket of soil into the hole as we do back home.
She was briliant and it puts the health and safety to shame in how she simply took apart their over caution.
I drove up a one way street a few days ago and there was a temporary Traffic Light and I sat there fuming.

It was my non racing highlight of the week.

                              • This is probably complete nonsense but shouldn't handicaps be for handicappers - not unexposed grade/group horses. like State Man - maybe stipulate that they've run in a certain number of handicaps previously? (I mean valuable big field handicaps like the Hunt Cup)
