Just wondering if anyone can help re parking. I normally stay in Cheltenham and normally head into town around 10am and have a gentle stroll up to the course. This year I’m staying a bit further away but will be driving still. I’m not parking at the course but looking to park in Cheltenham all day. I’ll be heading into town after racing for an Indian or something and will be happy waiting for the queue’s to die down before heading back. Normally I walk past a pretty large car park but don’t know what it’s called or if this is suitable for all day parking. Can anyone advise at all? Will be getting into Cheltenham around 9am Tues morning as a guide. Any help would be appreciated
Will this year be the first year that we have more Irish runners than UK ?
If this is the case, which seems likely, the idea of a 5th day seems a little embarrassing.
Maybe the 5th day can be on the Saturday at Thurles ?

The car park you mention could be Cheltenham Portland Street East - it’s an NCP but the website says it’s not bookable from Tues-Fri next week so turn up and hope for the best I guess.

Not such a bad idea , Could have all the Handicaps in one meeting ... save Thousands in Horse Transportation fee's and diesel .
Good for the Carbon Hoofprint and all that.
Quick question if someone knows. For final declarations, can other trainers/owners see in real time what horses have already been declared, like happens now with horses being entered?

Arctic Bresil non runner in the bumper at Gowran today. No HDB winner this year.
The Monbeg horse could be a weapon so they may be keeping him for an easier assignment.
Arctic Bresil should be on the 2023 shortlists along with the winner and fourth from the Million Pound PtP. The third I would be interested in too but he’s gone to Twisters

I'm not that sure on the form of that PTP. I know An Mhi was thought to be a good thing by Elliott and wouldn't lose so was surprised he then finished 4th. He's since been out and lost again, with the one in 3rd in that PTP not too far behind and he was beaten out of sight by An Tobar.
Mister Chewy lost in the Chepstow bumper (but probably should have won). As you say, gone to NTD so probably not fair to judge the others on him.
I have heard good things about Monbeg Park so hopefully he does the business and then goes onto the sales next week.

I actually missed that An Mhi had been out again so that is a slight let down. However, I’ll still be following those horses when they go under rules as I’d be disappointed if there wasn’t substance to that race long term.
