    • Just received an email from Mansion Bet saying they are to cease sports trading - they will continue with casino games.
May not be new news to some, my account went months ago so haven’t looked at them in a long time but I do have a few open Cheltenham bets which their email says will be honoured…

      • Daryl Jacob has been passed fit to return to riding later this week. Means he will be available for the double green next week.

Does he have dibs over all runners or does Paul still get first choice of those in Willie’s yard?

Or will the festival come too soon for him? Big ask to go straight into Cheltenham after such a long lay off.

          • It’s a possibility - but you wouldn’t think in that position you’d be too keen on sitting back watching them if’s you’d been passed fit.

Not sure how many big hitters they’ll have outside of Blue Lord and possibly Concertista which might be Pauls rides anyway.

Some decent ones. Fusil Raffles, El Fabiolo, Sceau Royal ...

                • Never bothered with Mansion Bet but know some who have been restricted very early doors by them. I'd say that won't be the first time we see this, a firm moving out of sports betting and just offering casino type games. Pretty much a no risk strategy.

Can’t say this is a positive at all for Blue Lord and Concertista and I just hope PT keeps the rides on both.

Although the "any tips or decent accumulators for Cheltenham" texts start coming through this week

A guy I used to work with who now has more money than sense offered me 10% of his winnings if I do his bets for him. Caveat - "accumulators and straight forecasts only"

He's not asking for much then, you may as well pick his lottery numbers as well !

I love when you've got some great antepost prices and people ask you on the day for a tip in whatever race and you tell them what you've backed and they look at you in disgust when it's evens !

For context in my worst Cheltenham (2017) this guy outperformed me by backing every number 13 or something. High minded analysts not his forte
