Could be as straightforward as two threads on novice hurdlers and chasers, but I think a place away from the main threads for these debates to happen will prevent the main threads becoming diluted.

I suspect the ship has already sailed and it will need a firm hand of mods to enforce this. Let's try it for next year, be so worth while IMO

I think its an excellent idea Charlie, I'm guilty of it too, but it seems to be the same shit spouted off time and time again about who goes where, repetitively annoying and boring. I understand (imo) it is one of the hardest to predict in recent years where the Novices are going to end up with so many horses having the entries and nothing set it stone bar a few obvious ones were exactly they are going to run. But the same conversations or similar posts about a horse target, and debates can get really tedious.

It might not work, but I think it's worth a shot. I think traffic is pretty big at the minute and can understand members missing other posts maybe that's already been said (including these type of comments, but my main concern is we might miss decent posts that interest us due to these types of comments.

Members might like to hear insight of where members feel the horses are going to run, so they have the option to go to this new thread to read or add to it.

Waffled a bit there but hope that makes sense if agree with it or not!

Personally, I thought we gave up on the broad category threads (novice hurdles, chases etc) a tad too early - but that doesn't really stop the repetition cycle we've seen at this stage of the season this year. Could just be a one off though given the large amount of options this year?

Could a solution be to keep the general Novice Chase, Novice Hurdle, Chase, Hurdle etc. threads in the general section and to have race specific threads in the members section?
