Not sure why the Irish handicapper is slow to rate some of the novice hurdlers, I know they wait with the juveniles.
Anyhow
Churchstonewarrior is now 134 and eric bloodaxe 135, which gives some sort of line on Ginto & Hollow Games Irish ratings (145 & 140) ish would be my guess.

They only rate novices if they are entered in a handicap or a mark is requested by connections, I’m sure you already know that but I thought I’d chip in anyway

I think your wrong about last year reckon almost more got beat last year than won out of the short price favs, concertista, chacun, easysland, kilcruit, envoi, zanahiry, elimay all got beat at very short odds and the likes of Appreciate it, shishkin, Honeysuckle, Bob o and monkfish won, happens most years imo some win some don't
I thought sir gerhard and quilixios went off shorter then kilcruit and zanahir..i just think theres a chance more favs go in again this year

makes sense, i wasn't sure, probably cos some are listed and some not.
Looking at the prize money for this new Lingfield meeting next week if there arent full fields trainers and owners can never comment about the prize money situation again

Tried to discuss this last week and nobody was interested Hopefully they are when entries come out.
I'm optimistic (probably stupidly) that it can make it's way as a good quality pre Cheltenham meeting in the years to come. Although needs a shake up of some races imo. I'd go more down the Cheltenham trials route for a couple personally...

The challenge is going to be how many trainers will want their Cheltenham/best horses running on Lingfield heavy. I did hear on sky racing today that there will be contingencies to switch to other tracks (Doncaster was mentioned). Apparently trainers have already questioned the suitability of the venue and I’m not that surprised. I can see it being more an opportunity for horses not ear marked for Cheltenham to pick up good prize money and that in itself makes it an interesting innovation.

Yep. Lingfield has a reputation for heavy ground and is often called off.
Dont see many Cheltenham hopefuls turning up.
Hopefully some competitive racing will still take place though.
