  • I just want to say it was great to login today and see FJ so busy. Keep it coming boys (and girls?). It's really got me in the mood for the new season ahead.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

I also enjoy the flat but it's been quiet post Cheltenham/Aintree. Having more people active now is pumping me up more for Cheltenham even if it's still ages away.

        • Quite a few can’t think of an ‘X’.
A horse called Xenophone won the Coral Cup about 15 years ago, I missed it but I think there was a small coup on the day, certainly wasn’t unfancied.

I’d struggle to think of another ‘X’ though….

Xenophon in 2003, and it was more than a small coup, it was a full on Tony Martin hit job.

            • I had to cheat a bit to find an X horse. There is a few but not many. The most notable one I could find came second in the 1999 Sandown Eclipse ridden by Frankie Dettori

                  • Goff Sales from today if any one is interested.

Corran Cross went for a bargain 22k compaired so sales recently. Bought by Jeremiah McGrath & R.Bandey so I most likely will be coming over to the UK and not staying with GE.

Most Gigginstown horses went, the most notable of all probably is Forged In Fire who was bought by GE for 42k. Second to Ferny Hollow in a bumper, but mostly been poor since.

Biggest sale was High Stakes sold by John Walsh for 85k to Highflyer. 1 from 1 in a bumper back in March, however is a 7 year old already

                    • Apologies if already mentioned.
                      But.
Who is training Galvin this season ?
Is he definitely back with Elliott ?

Good point, I’ve not seen it confirmed anywhere but have always assumed he returns to Elliott after his usual Summer with Ian Ferguson…

                            Xaar was special.

Won the Dewhurst even more easily than the same stables Zafonic.

I haven't seen it confirmed in any articles but have been told he's back with GE and they'll be targeting the GN.
