I appreciate they lost a lot of money last year but the give the working man a chance. I’m tempted to pay another ?35 and go and bring down the standard in the Club enclosure!! I’m quite annoyed as I’m sure the 6 I bought in April were ?35. They should focus on encouraging cheaper early sales to guarantee getting money in the bank than putting people off.
IMO Best Mate at ?45 is still better value than ?80 for Club. Bought them at early bird price but would still advise any virgins to go BM. Easier to get a drink/food, walk around , have a bet and great view from portable stand (best on course in my opinion) plus Guinness Tent is fantastic entertainment for those that don't wish to watch the racing. Been going 40 years and wouldn't swap enclosures.

I purposely choose the best mate on the Thursday as the graded races finish over that side so you have great views of the finish but their it’s definitely full of people like me and I’m fine with that but no one should pay more than ?30 to put up with my drunken clan midweek

Don't worry, the other side is just as full as people like you and I who like a drop.

I have a theory that the horses we remember best are the ones who were around when we first started watching the sport. Like, whenever I am waiting somewhere or simply killing time, I sometimes run an alphabet game in my head and the majority of horses aren't necessarily greats - rather they're typically ones who were around during the mid nineties. I wonder if other responses say more about when a person first watched the sport than anything else... I suppose my list also indicates I had a preference for staying chasers which is probably true... (although writing about them isn't a particularly niche topic!)

                    • Wasn't sure where to post this and tried extensively before doing so - anyone know how to contact betfair? They've closed my account following me trying to change my address - presumably a security feature, but after back and forth on their chat, and an email from them (that I cannot respond to) they've literally closed my account and told me to fuck off. Anyone have an email and / or number, or experienced anything similar?

                      • Just thought I'd say the quality chat on here has really gathered pace in the last few days with some really useful information about individual horses and targets which is a huge help going forward. A few 'proper' NH horses have also been entered up over the coming week and it really feels like the National Hunt Season is about to explode. I didn't think it would be possible to top last season's Festival for quality and returns but I'm getting more confident as the days go by. There is so much to look forward to and so many top, top horses and mouthwatering match ups. Can't wait for it all to unfold and for the stable tours to begin .

Early-Mid 80s, broad spread of handicap/graded chasers from twenty furlongs and upwards, interest in hurdlers slightly focussed more towards the better two milers when they come around...

I seem to recall I had to persist with live chat.
someone sent me a link to it on here.

Obviously you can't log in, but this should allow you to speak to them without.
They closed my account cos someone accessed it and made random bets on armenian premier league.
Had to fuck about getting a new account with all the extra log in details and authenticator app etc.
