First time today I’ve had Hills scratch of the day offer a free bet that specifically excludes future races (and specials)... there goes that strategy for this year
Those scratch of the day things were great last year for building up a decent stack of free bet covers/multiples (Used to get the 'Bet 5 for a 2 free bet' a few times a week). Lucky if I get one 'winning' scratchcard a week since they've changed the format.

I've had that scratch of the day excluded since Jan I think, I used to add the free bets as a way of rolling things up for the CF like you. They also took away my 3 daily boosts after the Aintree weekend. Not looking good for that account.
I've lost pretty much every account now but realised Bet Victor is one I've never had so just created an account, anyone got any strong views/experiences ?

They’re not great for ante post horse racing, limited markets etc. Pretty run of the mill really and like any other if you start winning will close you down/restrict. They’ve been going for years so you don’t need to worry like with some of the dodgy European bookmakers, your money will be safe.

Havent used them for years and just drifted into using Bet365 and Betfair for all my betting. Not entirely sure how I have managed to keep the 365 account but happy to have it. From memory they were OK ...run of the mill as Kauto says. Let us know how long you get to keep it

OK, thanks for your thoughts, they only have a handful of Cheltenham races priced up so your comment re AP appears bang on.

They were a fair outfit when run by Victor or his father but they seem very cagey since Tabor became a major holder.

That's the way it is going and I was reading an article in the RP about a trainer saying the game is unaffordable now and he cited that in days gone by he could get a ?40k to ?5k bloody hell he must have held one of those Ladbrokes gold account that was for the trade only.
Listening to Nick Luck chatting with William Haggis and the talk was prize money in countries that operated a Tote Monopoly such as France and Australia and it got me thinking that if the bookies don't play the game with the punters we might as well go down that route, OK you can't rip the arse out of a good old fashioned punt but you get what is market fairness in the returns without the parasites feeding off of racing.
I remember going to Paris years ago to smash into one and I went in so hard it crashed from 12s into 3-1 but it was a winner and no-one cried or moaned and I had to convert my raincoat into a bag to carry the Francs home
I thought of you when Sky started restricting massively, you posted that everyone’s Sky acc would go when they were sold to Betfair/PP, sadly rung true for me.
I’ve just had another ?6 on I am Maximum, attempted a patent which was restricted to under a quid, a combination of doubles, treble, patent and trixie has got me a few pennies on but it’s now painful, so disappointing....

This is gospel, my mate cannot get a bet on golf of more a couple of pounds, I know nothing about golf but there are 80 runners no doping involved it must be the cleanest of games, where do the traders draw the line ?
