    • so he is banned from training for 6 month and then can train after that aslong as he doesnt commit another offence.. is that right?

Apparently mouse text mick O’Leary regarding sub lieutenant retiring & his response was shoot him or keep him I don’t want him. Hate that I’ve been dragged back into the toxic world of Twitter trying to keep abreast of developments in this Elliott case

Yes, reckon so. Plus 15k fine and no racecourse visits for 6 months.

              • The suspension means that there will be no runners in Elliott’s name at the upcoming Cheltenham Festival. However, it is believed contingency plans are being finalised for another licensed trainer to run Elliott’s yard in his absence. Story to follow on racingpost.com

                    • And assuming a caretaker arrangement is put in place as seems likely then that should mean Giggi horses travel over - hopefully the O'Leary's aren't throwing the toys out of the pram!

                      • Doesn’t seem to be any negative impact on any of Elliotts horses on the exchanges following the statement. Hopefully all sorted move on to Cheltenham as planned with them under a different name

David Broad supposed to be lined up to take over the running of the yard. Once finalised, it should be business as usual..

That's how such things usually work. Seems fair enough to me, not too lenient, not too harsh. 15k fine is a lot less than most expected but they probably have guidelines to follow on such stuff.

                            • Looking like a good result for everyone imo. Trainer knows he has a job to come back to, horses run as normal and staff still have their jobs.
