I'm sure, like most people, something gets sorted on Friday and we see all the horses running at Cheltenham that we expected.
If the rumours re Gigginstown sticking two fingers up at the BHA are true, I wonder if this will extend to their horses with other owners? Thinking Embittered/Assemble with Joseph, for example.

Irascible
Torygraph
Farouk D’Arlene
Not seen any rumblings on Robocour - Pencilfulloflead
Would make me think now is the time to strike in the handicaps

The stress AP betting for Cheltenham just isnt worth it anymore in the current world.

....as you say, injuries, loss of form, non-entries are all risk factors we’re aware of when dipping into the ante-post market. Perversely, this is part of the ‘competition’ and trying to get an edge over firms.
What isn’t known is a situation like this, it’s a risk not factored into the market. I think, however, this is now becoming more managable for firms to make a decision regarding ante-post bets involving Elliott trained runners;
e.g. void all bets for any runners who remain registered with Elliott at the next declaration stage.
The key horses will have moved, it’s surely a more manageable & logistical impact from their perspective. Be interesting if any firms go this way.Last edited by Eggs; 3 March 2021, 07:41 AM.

Not just stress, the time commitment, form checking, race replays etc, the challenge and fun do just seem pointless, and although I feel like I write this too often lately this is obviously an exceptional circumstance...
