We can’t take horse racing’s current standing for granted. More needs to be done on animal welfare, on the sport’s integrity, on it’s link with gambling and all that entails. I fully and wholeheartedly agree.

Mistaking one individual’s action and over-exaggerating this to the impending end of a sport is emotive, unwarranted and frankly unhelpful.

Fair enough. You clearly know more than I do and I stand corrected. I know with all the gambling review stuff going on the sport is going to need influential friends so it is reassuring to know that that this isn’t going to impact things in the negative.

It may be a negative long term but them horses would have done a lot of their serious work already, with regards to this year's festival. They'll just need to be kept on top of, I'm sure, until the festival which is less than two weeks away.
