The sharks are already circling and we don't even know any details yet
I'm assuming that Gordon can't comment publicly until the official investigation is over
Otherwise hed have made a comment today
Theres nothing PC/un PC about a leading trainer in a sport beset by a problems sitting on a DEAD HORSE having negative consequences for him, come on man.
Really didn’t think it was legit, Really Really didn’t want it to be true. It’s just so odd to all be coming out now, not excusing it but why has this been saved by somebody until now?
it’s not like he’s only just become famous and it’s clearly been leaked to hammer his reputation.

There is a deluge of Elliott stuff last couple of weeks. He has clearly pissed off the wrong people.
I'm paraphrasing but the host on Sky Sports Racing just said "we've had a fair few emails about Gordon Elliott. I think we're all in the same boat that it's not good for racing but I'd like to know more. It is what it is I suppose".
WTF kind of response is that? And the sport wonders why people think none of us give a fuck.

I wasn’t aware of other photos/videos but yeah something quite major must of happened.
Lots of folk get pissed off in work environments or with bosses but remain professional even upon leaving. We might never know but those in the yard must know who has done it and why.
Could lose count the amount of times I've argued racing's case to friends who hate it (pretty much all of them) and the cornerstone is the love and care those involved have for the magnificent animals in their care. I'm sure others on here are similar.
And in one fell swoop he has made us all look like prize plums and done enormous damage to a sport that in my mind is one big enough incident away from a disaster it won't recover from.
If the media really go.to town on this, racing will be really under the microscope, every anti racing organisation have some more bullets to fire. This could really be very detrimental to the sport, right on the eve of Cheltenham. This has to be handled very.carefuly.

Feeling the same tonight robith. Moments like this make me feel ashamed to follow the sport
Completely agree Robith, have had same discussions myself with people, they are bred to.race, they enjoy racing, and the top level.horses are well.looked after.in racing. And when we do have fatalities, the connections are heart broken. Maybe i'm living in a Disney fantasy.land. I really feel quite sad at.the moment.

I feel you bruv. Honestly I think a lot of people are naive as fuck about the knife edge this sport lives on, we've all seen enough change in our adult lives to be able to comfortably envisage a scenario where horses jumping over fences, and often dying in the process live on Saturday afternoon tv, is at some point going to become flavour of the month for all the wrong reasons. We need every last drop of good PR we can get, every last bit of it. It's easier to slap aside the wrongdoings of some obscure operator in hicksville, but this is one of the most high profile operators our sport has. For the good of the game it needs weeding out. What makes it worse is this is one photo that even someone as high profile as this was stupid enough to take. A man who trains one of the sports biggest names. For the sports detractors, it'd be fair to ask how much more goes on behind the scenes? And just think of how it must feel to be one of the low paid 1000s that work in the game and keep it all going. A kick in the gonads for everyone tonight.

The cynic in me would say publishing the account late on Sunday evening was a ploy to keep it off the back pages tomorrow and hoping to minimise its time in the news cycle
