I know it's tongue in cheek, but you often say people should back things .... but if you're not doing it yourself (and for what sounds like good reason) it means you probably shouldn't throw out 'tips' as often as you do?

By the sounds of it, you wouldn't want people to experience what you have, and I don't feel overall your posts back mantra up.
I hear you Kev and can't disagree. I wouldn't want anyone to go where I went. I've completely changed the way I bet to keep things to an acceptable level. Only ever bet now when I go racing and only build an AP book for the festival and nothing else. It doesn't stop me keeping in touch with the sport and loving watching the racing when I can and doesn't stop me talking about it on here and enjoying the banter. In fact, I think it helps. A lot.

Have you found writing a diary helpful in terms of tracking what you back and not going OTT?

I normally have a couple of hundred slips which I put in order of days/races so I know where I am. This year though is different as my mate has placed 90% of bets for me. He has kindly recorded every bet and added them to a seperate list which he updates and sends to me each time I place a bet for me. I just had to sort those accordingly along with the ones I've placed in shops to produce the diary on the forum. The way I've got it listed here is definitely better and I'll keep that going from now on. As for going OTT, the only help I need for that is just thinking back to those dark times all those years ago. Can't go there again and never will.

OK, hadn’t realised that, best of luck managing things...

              • Stormy Ireland rumoured to go back to Mullins.
Looks like owner getting fed up with his horses getting killed off and running shit.

She was sold yesterday at the Goffs sales to Peel Bloodstock for 75K, hence why she's prob moving trainers again

Jared Sullivan sold a few of theirs yesterday, including Eglantine Du Seuil amongst others. Almost looks like he's trying to get out of the game entirely..

In fairness, NH horse ownership seems to be pretty shit if you're not happy with throwing money away purely for the love of it

Top man for sharing Lobos. It takes a big man to openly admit it.

There will be plenty of people who could easily be halfway to the same place that will take something from you posting that.
