Another lockdown to be announced tonight in Ireland lads, but as far as I can tell horse racing will still be allowed to go ahead, although you'd hope it wouldn't affect the DRF in February anyway.

I’ve just spent a good amount of time reading through everyone’s diaries, and it’s striking how many good bets there are, and how many people are likely to have a very good Festival.
As forums go, I’d be surprised if there will be many forums of any kind that will make as much money as will be made by the collective across four days. There are going to be some serious individual profits made. Although there are some sizeable investments too. It would be an interesting exercise to figure out the collective total investment and total return after its all over.
It strikes me though that a smart bookie could well join up and catch on. Lots of us could get closed on the information sat in there if bookies were smart enough to tie accounts to the diaries. Should the diary section perhaps be made a little more secure? Food for thought.
On a slightly different subject, I look at the Festival as something that produces an annual dividend. I recycle my stake plus 50% of my profits for the following season, and take out 50% of my profit to spend on something specific. Usually I take the family away for a nice holiday each year, and have a second ‘boys’ holiday. One day I expect I’ll give the pot I’ve built to my (adult) kids away from the prying eyes of the taxman. I’m curious though what you guys do with any winnings, and how you control how much you invest antepost? And do you have an endgame, or something specific you’re trying to achieve?Last edited by Spectre; 1 January 2021, 10:26 PM.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

BET 365 have slashed the prices through the whole Cheltenham Festival on all the shortest priced (one or more per race) British horses.
