  • At least they admitted the problems Ryan, that’s more than I got and they went as far as to say it’s my fault....

      • Matt Chapman just referred to Saint Roi as the Champion Hurdler elect. Now I can normally tolerate Chappers, but that is a fucking ridiculous thing to say.

          • Said it before, but can't stand Chapman. Shouting is not the same as being passionate for the sport. I usually watch Racing Uk, but ITV are flying the flag to highlight the sport, and I just think he lets them down.

                • Gordon Elliott’s horses are very hit and miss at the moment. I’m sure he’ll be disappointed with how the races over this Xmas period have panned out. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that a few horses have scoped badly. What with Gordon having tested positive for COVID, who knows: perhaps this could have impacted the yard?

Perhaps De Bromhead too (APT aside). Gaspard Du Seuil just dropped away 3 furlongs out in a very similar fashion to Holymacapony. Too bad to be true, particularly for the latter.

                  Mullins on fire. wow.

It does seem like a lot of gordons better horses havent ran up to form when you look at the list
                    Felix Desjy
                    Ballyadam
                    Samcro
                    Presenting Percy
Fury road/sire du berlais also both slightly disappointing

Maybe theyve just been found out but its hard to believe that was Samcro's true running and likewise could be said of FD although the ride Jack gave him didn't help.

Yes, some have clearly ran flat. Maybe we can mark up Farouk D'alene performance a bit in hindsight.

I'm an advocate for as much informaton as possible, however the yard out of form/scoping badly stuff makes it so hard, you could end up over compensating for horses that weren't affected at all, or giving a horse an excuse that just didn't actually have one. Very difficult to be confident either way.

                        • For anyone who missed it or in the UK, here's the recent Dawn Run documentary:

                          https://www.tg4.ie/en/player/categor...=6216471691001

                          (Option to turn subtitles on)

Think they are planning to do a series of these, Arkle, Istabraq and others.
Will give it a watch tonight, has received plenty of good response.

Been thinking the same today. Add Conflated, Abacadabras and even Hollow Games who won but not convincingly
