I think time to top up on a few fancys who have entries this weekend. That John Durkan race
It's just that time of year. Not much racing happens in February re Cheltenham horses so whilst there are technically 3 months till Cheltenham, there are only really 2 racing months till Cheltenham and pretty much everything will have been out at least once by Jan (one would have thought). People know the bookies mercilessly slash horses after decent debuts so I think a lot of people are now wise to the importance of being on ante post.

Yep, I'm pretty much done now. Always do my AP shopping early and rarely do any from now on in.

        • Just seen the front of the RP - IMO they are the only people who can have a legitimate issues with Nicky

          • Even the 'heavy' ground hurdles course looks decent enough based on that first race and the rails being moved.

            • More to it than the ground? Hendersons have been a waste of space today. 4 beaten favs.

                • Saw a stat on twitter saying of the 32 G1s in the last year Nicholls has had at least 1 runner in 30 of them, wonder what thats like for Henderson, im assuming he hasn't missed many tbf as off top of head he usually has a runner in them.

Did enjoy Nicholls interview yesterday where he had a few jabs at Hendo and the Pughs saying something like "Should give thanks to Hales for letting me do what I want with the horse"

He's great isnt he. God knows what happens if he gives instructions to the jockey.

                      • Went to Plumpton today , Good day ,. good to be at a race course again.
Word of warning , on arrival you need i.d. ... then you have a temperature check.
One very unhappy person who travelled from a tier 3 area , refused entry .
refreshment's were available though. Approx 800 people there.
but well spread out and divided into Zones.

                          Glad you enjoyed it BC.
So are there specific zones allocated and you have to remain within yours ?
I assume you can still park in the middle ?

Yes ista , Obviously Plumpton is a small course , so .... Owners and Trainers - one zone . , members - one zone.
and general public - one zone . Pretty sure they were parking in the centre of the course .
we parked nearest to the station entrance.
