Guidance much appreciated.

Hi all, this is a very farfetched question but I figured this is the best place to ask it after all.
Next year I am going to be entering the final year of my computer science degree and with that I get to do my own project with a supervisor and I got accepted by one to do one using AI to predict outcomes of horse races and hence finding value in betting markets using AI. The only problem is that from searching around there doesn't seem to be a whole load of data out there for results of previous races and the best I found was the racing post but would need to get the data manually to train the potential AI and that doesn't seem very time efficient. Cheers!

In terms of the model itself, I'm sure you're aware of this already but remember AI only understands the context you provide it. If you just give it form, it will analyse all form equally which probably isn't appropriate. If you don't give it sire/dam/damsire data it won't consider any of that, draw bias, pace bias, historical horse running style etc. You may still be successful without all that, but if you can put all that together, that's when you're really having fun...

One of those seems to have worked out better than the other, even though I haven't backed either! Send me a DM if you want the data and I'll try find it on my other laptop this weekend.
