Not Cheltenham related, but do we think Facile Vega will go to the Irish Arkle on Saturday?

I'm not convinced on his last run, I'm of the opinion Patrick Mullins could get Frankel beat if he tried hard enough.

I'd still give him a chance EW even though Marine is a machine.

Darlojim seems to think so and he has a finger into some of the Mullins pies doesn't he ? Also sounds like G Warrior will not likely take on MN yet so PT will surely be riding Vega.

Last I heard, connections were assuming he was running in the Irish Arkle.. this was a week ago and at the time there was a drift on him for this weekends race. They made some calls and didn't hear of any change of plans soo...

If hes declared he's going to be a solid 2nd fav isnt he with Townend back on board (providing GW doesn't go which imo is unlikely)

Worth remembering a horse as good as el fabiolo was third string on betting in the Irish arkle for instance

Typical, although I honestly think Facile is a better horse than Gaelic Warrior, all depends on who Paul rides.

In my dream scenario, Paul is on Facile, Patrick on Gaelic. Patrick rides a shocker and jumps Gaelic across Marine on multiple occasions. Paul goes from the front and holds on as Marine is too busy being hampered by Gaelic to catch him.

I fancy them both to run and Willie has Fact To File and Grangeclare in the 2m5f race the next day, so he doesn't need to add more fire power in that race.
