Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I think they need to have completed enough of the race to get a rating. Same caveat as yours though.

Yes that's correct. When State Man fell at Christmas at the 2nd last in his novice season, it was up to the discretion of the BHA I believe whether they counted it as a run. If they don't race far enough, the handicapper won't be able to assess the run and so it doesn't count.

I think the inverse then is that the handicapper can also raise a horses rating who fell at the 2nd last or last even without completing if the handicapper thinks they would have ran above their rating if finishing.

                    • As I guessed, bookies completely unaware that Premier Magic has just won. 12/1 still for Hunters Chase. He's a prolific winner in that sphere and was impressive winning last year's Hunters Chase. He should be fav for this year's. Another stonking good bet. 10/1 NRMB available with Hills as well to cover any injury risk. Bargain!

A fall will only be assessed by the handicapper if it happened at the last or second last, and that's still by discretion. However it a novice hurdler has run three times it's eligible for a mark, and the fourth run when it fell still counts towards the runs required to run in an open handicap hurdle at the Festival.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

I've moved your thread to the correct location (Flat Racing).

No harm in asking in this general thread though Hopefully someone can help you.
