  • I was impressed with Wingman looks a real big Stayer, Gordon saying he will now go over a Hurdle... care if any one has backed for the bumper.

    • A mate is in Aus for 3 weeks over Christmas and is wondering how he can place a few festival bets over there - all his apps understandably won’t let him. Any advice I can pass on?

I haven’t been to Aus but all the other countries I’ve been to, as long as you don’t use the Wi-Fi and stick to using your data, and you enter the website in safari (on I phone) rather than the app, then I have always been able to use my accounts.

            • There is workarounds but you can bet your bollox if you won big and they could confirm you were outside of the market it would be bye bye to any winnings and the account.

I did the same - given today's weights and the fact that it was Minella Indo's first run over the XC course, I'd say that he's now the one to beat come March, and I'd be surprised if he didn't start as favourite.

You'd be surprised if he didn't start as favourite ahead of the elliott brigade?

Yes, I think that it's quite likely - he was the best of all of them over the regular fences (ratings-wise, and people will remember the 1st and 2nd place finishes in Gold Cups) and he seemed to take to it like a duck to water today, so I could easily see him shortening a fair bit further between now and the Festival (all being well).

                        • Dunno Block, would still fancy Delta to be favourite. But still holding hope Conflated ends up over the banks come March!

But like yourself , MI impressed me today like and definitely in the mix imo.

I completely understand your thinking but with his recent record in the race and quality of runner elliott's intending on sending there i'd be surprised to see minella indo fav in march, albeit it was a decent looking run today

                              • Given his record in the Spring at Cheltenham (2023 excepted) he will represent great value if not the favourite.
