Fair enough. My first thought is I'm not sure he should back them if he doesn't think they'll win... But I know a lot of people have many selections in the same race. So I guess they can't all win!
If you're 'building books' in every race and only have four favs then yea, it's probably a fair time to be concerned.
Anything I back I back because I see them as winners. I'm not a book builder........well, not by choice and I don't have cash out options so I'm very limited.

You saying you're not a book builder but not getting involved in the One Race - One Horse is the worst
I'd put you as one of the favs to win it!
Whilst I'm being kind for no reason, https://www.fatjockey.com/forum/fat-...ge5#post441032The Giant Bolster's diary is one of the best I've seen (we have a lot of excellent ones and it's only my ignorance that I've not read sooner) but well worth a read - a lot of good, well thought out angles.
Josh on lets talk racing seems to talk him up on every episode
I think you have kind of answered your own question with one of the factors. If he is mentioning it so frequently and with his followers who i believe go in blind surely that is a reason?
Not only him who has talked him up though and before down royal was called off he was a Gordy Tremd horse with his entry which is another factor imo.
Just an aside for all the old farts. The new clerk of the course at Cheltenham will no longer let any spectators into the middle of the course to watch any race at any meeting

Love how that's aimed at the old farts.
Was gonna try and do it this year as well
I loved to watch cross country race by the cheese wedges. No longer allowed. Even went down to see the chasers at second last.,computer says no now!!
I've never ventured much, but did go and watch a listed hurdle at the second last fence on Paddy Power Gold cup day 2021.
I'd had Proschema in a double with Midnight Shadow and stood to win a nice bit.
He Obviously fell at the second last travelling well
In front of my very eyes.
The wife said, "is that your horse" ?
I was kneeling down by this stage So she got a look
She said a similar thing when at Punchestown once when Al Boum Photo ran out before the last

Is that a permanent decision GV ?
They've not allowed you onto the middle of the course since covid but I assume that's been because of the ground.
I used to watch a couple of regulation races from the middle, loved it, completely different perspective from there, such a shame if it's a permanent no....
I know it is a small sample size and probably nothing in it but has anyone noticed Nicky’s horses traveling well and emptying very quickly over the last week ?
some strongly fancied horses among them
