Yeah back at the start of April with Denise. They were a clear standout price at the time, if I remember right most bookies had him around the 33/1 mark.
Also got absurde at 40/1 immediately after his ebor win due to me taking inspiration from Saxon Warrior and paying more attention to win and your in races, with the ebor win guaranteeing him a run.
Very pleased with myself for getting those two from my only two bets on the race, which will make it all the more gutting when inevitably one is murdered against the rail and the other just fails to get up by a short headLast edited by riccirich; 6 November 2023, 08:17 PM.

Genuinely gutted for all FJ's who were on Vauban at great prices. Half the game is getting on the right horse at the right time for the right race. You all did a great job there as punters. The rest is down the horse and the team supporting and that race seems very tough for UK&I horses. Could be the travel, the weather or the handicapping but whatever it is it appears tough to go there and win.

I think it happened about 3 weeks ago for Vauban but nonetheless it still isn't a nice experience to go through immediately on arrival after 24 hours in the sky....
