….looks like we didn’t drill down to individual race threads for novices until February, but we did have ‘Novice Hurdle’ threads etc from September last year.

That seemed to work well.

…just had a quick look. Roughly like this;

7th Sept; ‘Nov Hurdles’; ‘Nov Chases’; GC; CH; Ryanair
10th Oct; Triumph
8th Nov; Bumper
9th Nov; MNH
10th Nov; Pertemps
22nd Nov; Hunter Chase
27th Nov; Mares Chase
5th & 6th Jan; Remaining Handicaps
5th Feb; Supreme, Bally, AB, Turners, BANC

Just to clarify we put up individual race threads early one year and it caused some issues so we agreed Autumn we’d introduce novice chase and novice hurdle threads along with the championship threads, it’s probably still a bit early for these as there’s very little meaningful NH racing to speak of and stable tour season hasn’t kicked off.
If no-one has any objections then the timeline Eggs states above will probably be repeated but as always, all comments/suggestions welcome…

ps - I think the Pertemps was an anomaly last year as someone had done some specific research around qualifiers so opened the race thread up early.
No reason why we can’t have a general ‘handicaps’ thread from around Paddy Power/Hennessy time

That’s him. He seems to be defocusing on NH this year but put tweeted a couple of fillies he liked, one of which was Enola. A couple of days later she appeared in the markets.

I’ve never purchased it before but said I’d chance it this year.

Spoke to him yesterday and it was going to the publishers the same day. Its the clear best book for our sort of capers, imo.
