That's fucking brilliant.
If that's a human typing out those responses then it's another nail in my increasingly desperate opinion on mankind (or fucking womankind )
I'm not sure on the context of the bet and when it was placed and how palpable the odds offered were etc.
But I reckon He'll get paid out in the end I'm sure, but the hassle and pain to get it should be an embarrassment to the bookie.

Some decent peace of mind from On The Fringe in a recent post, good work fella!
As well as the main question, I asked for clarification on the date the T&C's were changed and also if the 50k limit is per bet or per day (it reads like per bet on the sheet they sent me, but its ambiguous enough), so will see what I get back.

Not that it appears to matter anymore, but this is the response I recieved by e-mail this afternoon:

"I am contacting you in regards to your Max Payout query.

We referred your bet on to our Traders to review and they have confirmed that the max payout was changed back on the 25th of November 2022 with your oldest open bet being placed on the --rd of --- this year all the bets would of been placed under the changed rule and therefore the max of ?50,000 would stand for these bets."

I've been on the PP Live Chat this afternoon, and after the Operator "escalated the issue to the settlement team, and they have informed, as per our rules we would pay the maximum amount at the time".

I responded asking for clarity that they meant the "at the time the bets were placed" and PP confirmed this.

I have the conversation evidenced (screenshots), so if anyone has problems getting appropriate payout above ?50k from PP for pre-existing bets, let me know and I'll happily share the screenshots as evidence to support your claim.

I'm aware of all the recent developments, im just updating as promised with the email I was told I'd be getting as none of us seemed to know the specific date. The email says the original change in T&C's from 250k down to 50k took place in November 2022.

The 80% reduction in payout is a fairly major rule change, surely they would have been obliged to provide a policy update that all customers have to accept ?
They stopped liking me in 2008 so I wouldn't know, but had they communicated the changes someone in here would have picked it up and raised at the time, there'f no way on earth the shrewdies in here would have missed that.
Sounds to me like they never communicated it in which case it has to be a failure, and probably worth reporting to the gambling commission....
