We've normally got the Triumph Hurdle winner backed at this stage..............what's going on ??!! I haven't dipped my toe in yet. This time last year I'd done 3!
I've been trying to get 365 and PP to open the market for the Triumph for the all important cashout, especially on these juve/novice races.
I've spoke to 1 or 2 on here who I'm most excited about in the juvenile division and I'm just awaiting the right moment to act on this.
Last 2 years I had Vauban @25s and Lossie @ 33s so hoping to keep the good run up in the division!
I know you are convinced she's not all that Darlo but I'm not having it at all. Visually she looks very smart IMO. I just think they are trying to keep a low profile with her after going way OTT with her big bruv.
Just wait for the better sibling to come out, the Camelot
You say that, it’ll soon be publication season and the leading ones will get severe haircuts.
It’s something of a surprise nothing has been mentioned in here yet, I’m fairly sure this place had the last 4/5 winners touted well before September…
Plenty will get a shave.
Whether they include the Triumph winner we won’t know for 6 months, and it’s far from certain.
I remember everyone getting overexcited about numerous bets trying to find the Champion Bumper winner last summer - that didn’t end in too many wild celebrations.
Like getting first dibs to put your hand in the bran-tub at the village fete, for a gift, and pulling out a dog turd,
….getting back to the limits debate, when you place a multiple firms like PP should be required by law to show how much they will pay if the ante-post bet goes in, not a ‘pie in the sky’ figure beyond their limit.

Step forward the good old Gambling Commission.
I'm convinced there is a some form of collusion between bookmakers and the regulator, it makes no sense they can get so much wrong when their entire purpose is to protect integrity within the industry, perhaps it's the regulator's integrity, or people within it, that should be investigated...

That made me laugh, I will never see village fete's in the same light again !
You're right about the bumper, throughout the season there will be a dozen or more put up but the Triumph is different, the recent record of FJs finding the winner from well out is very good, this year silence...

I think there’s a few reasons, the crop of 3 year olds aren’t the most exciting maybe and the leading pick of them all Jigme is going to stud which makes it a game of who’s 2nd best or 3rd best.
Cant nail any down that Ricci has bought, suspecting maybe the few that haven’t turned up with a confirmed owner yet like Nara may be his

Tell you the amount you should actually be getting and the amount they will actually pay you so you can bring your stakes down accordingly but the robbing bastards wouldn't do that ! If you had an acca built up to ?50k and still had one horse left to run on it which is then beaten then they should pay you the ?50k because you can't have no more winnings off them ! Now i now that won't happen but in my mind it's different !

Despite despising the clown outfit that is Skybet, but in the interests of ensuring there is some balance, I'm going back to a time they let me have more than 2p on L15s but when entering a stake I recall the '500k' limit figure appearing in the potential payout box and a message that said something like 'your winnings exceed maximum payout, consider lowering your stake', so they did pretty much exactly what we are saying/want, it's just a shame no-one can win more than pitiful amounts off them any more...
Maybe worth pointing out reducing stakes on yankees and similar to stay within limits means you’re also reducing the pay out if only some of the selected win.
Might be more annoying if you get 1 loser and get paid a lot less than you would have had you kept normal stakes.
I’d probably keep normal stakes and then it’s
probably worth doing the acca with a separate bookmaker also.

Yep, good points.
Have to say I'd always assumed the payout limits related to each bet which clearly isn't the case, so whilst reducing stakes to ensure that one bet keeps you within the limit makes sense should it land, and let's hope one does for everyone, any other bets you've had for that day are pointless.
I have several multiples with two legs on Tuesday and final leg on Wednesday, if the jackpot lands in the Ballymore the rest of the day is irrelevant if all your bets are with the same bookmaker.
As Q suggests, split the bet across 2/3 bookmakers if you can....
