I thought ante post rules only voided such a bet on a venue change? …I would much prefer the bet to stand even though I don’t know for sure that MO will still be running… thoughts?
    ● Entries are reopened for all Lingfield races
    (the otiginal entries have gone/disappeared)
    ● Ran on the synthetic surface
    ● Ran over a different trip
    ● void antepost bets and refund
    ● on the BHA website the races are all opened for NEW race entries today (none carried forward)

It's logical for them to void the antepost bets and give people their money back than suggest everyone's bets rolls on to the new entries, on the different trip and track, with new runners to race against.

I imagine some would be gutted if their antepost bets were rolled on like that and then their horse didn't get entered (or was marked as a loser).

You have your money back to bet MO if he does get entered again now.

To be fair the fixture was abandoned 3 days before the race.

It didnt even make it to final Declarations.

So it wasn't certain that Military Order, or any other particular horse, would get declared today, as we hadn't reached declaration stage before the meeting was abandoned.

Most abandonments of meetings usually make it past 48 hour decs, so we knew what the final fields and draw were.

And the bookies would've won on any antepost bets on those horses that didn't make final decs and kept punters money.

Military Order, Gooloogong etc, didn't get declared to run.

    Money back is very fair.

Good luck with your new plan with the winnings

I’m never one for defending bookies but not sure they could much else here.
The process of contacting everyone who has a bet on the race isn’t viable, and there will always be ones who let it ride then come back saying they called but no answer, emailed to the wrong address etc when the last leg bombs.
Happy to dig bookies out at any opportunity but not sure I can here…

        • Not sure I agree guys. Many years ago I had a very big AP bet/price on Master Oats to win the Welsh National. It was switched to Newbury and all punters were given the option of letting it ride or getting a refund. Punters that have backed anything in the Derby Trial will be fully aware of the switch (or should be if they have a decent AP price) so it should be up to them to contact their bookie to make the choice. Not that difficult in this day and age.

            Completely Different

            The race this week

            ● wasn't an early entry antepost race (for months in advance) like the Welsh National

            ● only started quoting prices on Monday once 5 day entries were announced

            ● was just a 5-day entries race, with a market that lasted 2 days, at most, before being abandoned between 5-day entries and 48 hour decs

            ● never made it passed that entry stage before being abandoned and

            - New entries took place today - the original 2nd fav didn't enter, among others.

            - on a different course (check the map, its nothing like the turf track)

            - different surface,

            - different trip

I give the bookies stick as they deserve it plenty.

But on this. They had no choice, and made the right call

Those that backed Aidans 5/2 original second fav in the original market, wouldve happily had their money back, along with others who didnt enter the new race.

            • Still think that those that backed horses originally entered that have now been declared should be given choice to let it ride. Not that difficult. Just me I suppose. Anyway, I'll move on.

Until Denise does the same. It’s a sorry state of affairs.

                  • 365 recently changed to BOG only on bets placed after 8am the day of the race (for me at least). Used to be on bets placed any time. Shit when tips come the night before unless they drift back the next day.

And I lost the daily free bets from the goals giveaway. Will have to prove my identity to PP at this rate

Does anyone have any experience of using a third account under the same roof without it being an issue?

I'd suggest this is near impossible, in the long term anyway.
You'd probably need to have new device to use, use 4G only and even then the algorithms will catch you in no time.
I think it's gone my friend, give it up and move on would be my advice...

Yeah, it's going to be tough but I'll manage.
