If you're superstitious, you won't like me mentioning this, but isn't it amazing just how few high profile non-runners we've had so far? Ferny Hollow and L'homme Presse are the only two that spring to mind. The Nice Guy is another that we could throw into that bracket, i suppose.
In years gone by we were getting casualties on a daily basis at this stage.
p.s don't blame me if a few high profile horses don't make it. This post and injury setbacks aren't linked!
Yeah I do agree. I'm sure we'll have one or two between now and the start though.
I feel like we've had some near misses, like Klassical Dream, Blazing Khal and Flooring Porter, and we're not out of the woods yet

I’ve been thinking this for a few weeks, but resisted the temptation to post. But now you have … you’ve really gone and done it now.
The one thing I would say is we had a few very early. Redemption Day, The New Guy, James’s Gate, An Tobar, Minella Cocooner … I’m sure there were many more.
But you’re right, there’s been less since Xmas than usual.

FFS Faugheen_Machine - talk about jinxing the whole thing! Please do whatever you need to do to avert evil… like that stupid dance the actors did when Blackadder mentions the Scottish play…
Was actually reviewing my book a couple of weeks ago with a few mates - there are quite a few when you look back at it: Allaho, Minella Crooner, The Nice Guy, L’Homme Presse, Three Stripe Life, Ferny (when is he ever fit?), Grand Jury, My Drogo, Hillcrest, Redemption Day. Quite a few of the mares have gone into the breeding sheds too. The list goes on…

Hot potato, orchestra stalls, Puck will make amends!

Yeah but those weren't too high profile and did pretty much all occur before the season started.

I suppose there are more than I first thought but most of those are novices that hadn't seen the track this season.

We've definitely had worse years for non runner.
I saw Lucinda russell interviewed yesterday on I.t.v , and she said Ahoy Senor .
had done his last Big Prep on friday , and that he is fine .
So hopefully that is a time Line that others work to .
And that we don't get many or any Now..
Daryl Jacob interview in Irish Field he mentions several horses that could give him his next Festival winner. El Fabiolo and James Du Berlais both mentioned but not IEP.

If he rides El Fabiolo I'll be sick on the floor and Jonbon goes off odds on.
That would ruin my theory of the jockey change being a negative for El Fab. And allow the easy excuses when Jonbon slaps him up. Hope Townend gets the ride.
