Some people owe moby an apology.

And maybe a donation to the National Sealife Centre.

That’s how it appeared to me as well, and he had plenty on here asking him.
Still anyway, just glad nobody got put away with false marks.

          Initially it was.
The trusted members implied this in their original comments, and I fully understood why they did (right or wrong)
It then morphed into a confidentiality thing. And I understand why the forum moderators would need to act on this also.

Unfortunately though, IMO we may have been a little hasty/harsh and maybe a warning around the whole "information embargo" thing would have sufficed in this specific instance.
Previous behaviour ! I'm not privy too, but trust the man at the helm to have considered any feedback given to him carefully.

          • I must admit I’m intrigued as to where Moby got his information. It seems bizarre and foolish of him to publicly name the guy in the JP camp if that was actually his true source (and Spectre seemed certain it wasn’t which backs this up). However, it came from somewhere and obv wasn’t that readily available as several owners etc couldn’t see/find it. I guess we will never know!

Other horse racing forums are available. Some of them are really good. Go take a look

You're never going to please everyone. If you're able to justify whatever action you take to yourself, obviously within the bounds of reason and good taste , then fuck everyone else's thoughts on the matter.

                • Why was there an embargo anyway? Just so a select few could get more cash on if they want before the peasants can see. Clinging to some false sense of power. Stuck in the dark ages this sport!

It's usually used in comms management for sensitive information so it all gets released in one go, so all media outlets get an even shot, the company gets to control the release of the news. But being the BHa, it was naturally a shambles

                    • Used to love the Weghed In podcast but it's gotten unlistenable lately. Amazing work managing to get to 52 minutes before boring the life out of us again on the whip. Constant repetitive axe grinding, niche internecine squabbling about BHA politics, it's such a drudge.

Don't mind the Ruby and Rory one - are there any other podcasts that are chatting about racing but not necessarily about betting that anyone would recommend?

                      • The Barstewards Enquiry are a a good bit of irreverence. They've done two very amusing podcasts with both Richard Pitman and Bob Cooper. Both worth a listen.

Feel a bit for Moby if his information was correct.
He shouldn't have been posting it.
                            That's the point.

He's been an absolute nightmare to people on this forum in the past.

                              No apology from me.
