FAO of all members - after a little phone call with nortonscoin200 today (which as a millennial, killed me - just send me some emojis man) we are going to be beta testing the idea of trying to crack a handicap in 24 hours.
The idea is - well have a thread where (hopefully some users will post trends, stats etc as pre reading. Across the 24 hours wed encourage everyone to post their opinions and make cases. I'll attempt to moderate and summarise. At the end we'll have a vote on Nailed On, Good Value, Dark Horse. Hopefully we can even make twitter go mad by creating some blue haha.
The Race well be starting on is the Grand Annual - has a great trend of horses not having run in 30 days and it'll be 31 on Sunday, so despite no entries well have seen the likely winner.
I'll be dropping the thread in tomorrow in the members area but would love to hear
- if you're interested!
- if youd like to do some pre research to share
- if you think it's a stupid idea and we shouldn't do it before I tell my missus I'm spending Saturdsy getting battered for the Ireland game, and my hangover on Sunday moderating a brainstorm on a horse racing forum

…great idea, love the concept.
Maybe you could start the thread with Saxon Warriors analysis from last years individual race threads.

Probably let Jody ride if owners want to go.
It'll only be Patrick saying No, as he can't ride and will not want the competition.
He'll be distracting his dad on entries day.

I can't help but think this year more than ever we are having to factor not only the increasingly Mullins bingo conundrum, but now also the needs of high profile owners much more, as they too have multiple chances in the same race. Oh how I wish we still only had 3 days.
Robcur, the Donnellys and Munir and Souede are the obvious ones, as the Gigginstown battalions decrease and JP, Jonbon and perhaps Impervious apart, has the numbers but not the potential G1 quality.

I got used to Ricci shuffling his pack to avoid each other (bar one mares hurdle) but absolutely the new breed of owner may well follow suit, the likes of JP and Giggs have always been happy pitching theirs against each other we can't be so sure todays owners will...
