From memory, this immediate post Christmas/New Year period has always been the most likely time for abandonments. Surely trainers, and owners, have to have this under consideration as they plan programmes for their horses. In reality though, we've had a week just pre Christmas and now a week in the middle of January . We've got through it lightly and hopefully that should be that for the really cold weather.Comment
