Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

He does have some good young lads who may well get their chance now.

I might sign off until Cheltenham and then just after time the s**t out of it, thats how bitter I'm feeling about the day

Anyway, I hope you all had better days than me, it wouldn't be hard to

      On to Naas tomorrow
Just catching up now and to those that replied to this, you've mostly made me feel a bit better except Lobos for gloating about Love Envoi & Tahmuras I'm only messing, well in

I feel I was just having one of them days. It was busy enough anyway, so I was struggling to keep tabs on the racing, to then watch them all go to s**t was frustratingly painful. Literally everything I backed lost

I would say it was nice to see I'm not alone but I'd much prefer you all to be winning tbh. I hope a lot of those who have been in bad form manage to turn it around, even more so as we head towards the festival itself

      • Doesn’t sound good for Jack after todays fall. He’s had rotten luck with injuries the last few years. Big blow for Gordon.

Gordon Elliott fears stable jockey Jack Kennedy will be out of action for the "foreseeable future" after suffering a leg injury in a fall at Naas on Sunday.

Admittedly not got the knowledge of die hard/veteran racing fans and I know this lad started early but has any jockeys had such a bashing in their first 5 years of pro riding? He seems to get a bad injury every season with a couple of side lines to boot

          • I see Gordon Elliott has posted this morning a photo of Jack Kennedy at Naas so fingers crossed it is not as bad as first feared!

On crutches obviously and has a cast on his right leg. Hopefully a speedy recovery!

Great to see him out for sure, you’d be thinking 2 months at best to be back firing on a broken leg… Think Gordon said it was the lower part of his leg yesterday?

He did the upper thigh on the same side at leopardstown and he was out for 6 or 7 months which is obviously much worse to break.

Fingers crossed for the lad but wouldn’t hold my breath he’ll be riding Gordons at Cheltenham.. unless the injury is not as bad as I am guessing

                • Will depend how serious a fracture it is. He's got 10 weeks. I've known some to be playing football again in 7-8 weeks for non-severe fractures, and also probably against the doctors advice mind

                  • Some commitment to be back there the next morning on crutches. Great attitude on the lad. Hope he's back for the festival.

                    • Jack Kennedy looks set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines following confirmation he suffered a fractured leg in a fall at Naas on Sunday.

Depends on which bone it is. Fibula is relatively trivial and probably only 4 to 6 weeks in plaster. The tibia is more serious and would probably need surgical intervention.

Both the tib and fib are broken

Christ. That's normally 8 weeks just for the bones to heal (assuming no surgery). Surely not enough time before Chetls.

Yea poor divil, you’d assume he won’t feature at Cheltenham now maybe back in time for Grand National and then onto Punchestown.

Shame was looking a good battle between him and Paul this year.
