2 bad examples of attempting this.

First was visiting a sick friend in hospital while the Liverpool vs Arsenal game was on live the year when Arsenal won 1-0 at Anfield to win the title. Skillfully avoided seeing or hearing any TVs in the hosptal rooms, made sure radio was off in the car, got home, beer in hand to watch the VCR recording, only to turn on the TV and see the result on the 10pm news...Right result so was delighted but never watched the game.

Second was Arsenal vs Liverpool Cup Final at Cardiff, same day as daughters birthday at Thorpe Park followed by meal somewhere. Once again got through entire day and evening without knowing the result. Too tired for some reason to watch that night, so got up early to watch in the morning. Arsenal beaten easily, rubbish game, wish I hadn't bothered.

TOTG - just hope nobody tells you when Goshen hoses up in the CH....

Your memory is failing you NW. I was at both those games, and you beat us 2-0 at Anfield to win the title.
But to say you were beaten easily in the 2001 Cup Final is a bit generous to us. Arsenal battered the reds that day and only the brilliance of MO at the very end won it for Liverpool. One of my favourite football experiences, thought we were dead and buried.

8:01AM - first thing I do the morning of a new working year is book the week in March off.

Someone else has booked it off as they have “plans” which means I can’t have it off.

Gutted is an understatement.

Thanks for your concerns Charlie. I have come to terms and made peace with it now. Although any customers trying to get ahold of me from 16th - 19th March will have a hard time of it

I get that. Wish I was in the same boat. If it doesn’t happen I’ll probably record and watch in the evening with a few tinnies plenty of water to go under the bridge between now and then - I’m sure I’ll twist their arm.
