Love the festival but the whole thing is becoming very expensive. We stayed in Birmingham last year to try do it cheaper and that experience was a nightmare between queue for trains, standing in trains packed in like sardines.

Going to watch from home this March - no doubt i'll be itching to get back next season though!

I love the festival, but the cost to attend the event is just way too much
On top of that, the effort required... na, been there, done that, got the losing betting slips. Rather stay at home, great view, access to the fridge and toilets, and more importantly, in a better position to pick out winners

Yep, I've been going since I was 18 and this is the first season I'm actually happy to just stay at home and watch it. Went the Tuesday and Wednesday last season and it felt like gold cup day both days. Being dragged from left to right by the crowds, overcharged for everything, queues were much worse than the years prior. Last straw was the Wednesday it just pissed it down all day, no seats in the centaur and then to top it off some piss head that looked like he was just there for the beer was sick on my shoe. I do love the place but going forward I'll be sticking to the November meeting.

Ran in an AQPS race so not much to go off of really unlike other runners who have came from them who ran in graded ones like Irish Point

I highlighted him earlier in the season, just go take a look at the turn of foot, that's what immediately caught my eye, and then Willie and daryl Jacob have both said pretty positive comments on him. Not a great deal of substance to the form yet but we'll see.
