Yeah, thought I was the only one who noticed this with RPRs just season they seem to be a lot lower than last season and it ties in with the bumper thread, the highest bumper RPR we've had so far this season is King Of Kingsfield at 122 I think, but last year I think there were multiple horses by now with an RPR higher than that in their first bumper so to be, it they just seem to be being more conservative with them with previous years
I'm not so sure myself. From my notes, only American Mike had more than 120 until Mullins unleashed Facile Vega and Redemption Day at Christmas.
For me, I think there is a decent chance we've not seen the Champion Bumper winner yet. I'll be watching the Leopardstown entries very carefully.
First time I've noticed it, but the RPR's given this season have been subject to change, just for some examples:
Irish Point was given 118 now upped to 121 (it changed after his Royal Bond run I think) Facile Vega was initially given 122 now 129
Jet Powered was 123 (I think) now 129
Hiddenvalley Lake was definitely not 125, I'm pretty sure it was like 119, looks to have been changed recently.
I can guarantee there are more. Seems like they don't like being wrong so adjust so they look better. I wish they'd have a note to say why they were amended though.
I like RPR's but clearly an issue if they are amending after the event, complete after timing figures.
I know they do it every season but as they've gone quite low this year on debut for a lot of the novice hurdlers, they've then updated them once the form has worked out.
I've got a list of the RPRs given to some of the novice hurdlers straight after debut to capture this.
My list from between a week and two weeks ago as I've not had a chance to update:

On Gavins L. new show has anyone else tuned in? Personally I’ve been really enjoying the Cheltenham preview shows with the odds compiler fella. It’s a refreshing angle to hear both sides of a bet.
Miles better info and nuggets relayed compared to upping the ante, chalk and cheese I suppose.
I signed up more so to hear Gavins race reviews and race planning for Chelt more than the antepost selections; as majority of selections are well covered already at bigger prices courtesy of the early season discussions on FJ.
Have split the cost between a buddy of mine, some may see it as bad value but for less than a quid per video all the way to festival I don’t mind it all. (Compared to the price of some other Chelt services such as the one advertised here on FJ.. 500 quid.. must be mad)
I have put it in the same category as the likes of Netflix or tv subscriptions. An entertainment expensive.
Paul Ferguson's update is out for anyone interested who (like me) often forgets to check their emails. Free to those who purchased the original version I think.

Is this just for those who bought the digital version?

He collapses Cheltenham prices on a weekly basis, every Tuesday, doesn't he?

Seams too have an effect alright, to be fair nothing out of left field. Something wins impressively at the weekend it will usually be highlighted the follow episode. He’s not tipping anything that isn’t being tipped on every other show podcast column etc.
I say his ante-post selection piece (usually one per) makes up less than 2-5% of content per episode.
Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow is the gift that keeps on giving, with a multitude of winners identified already this season across the UK and Ireland. As we approach the New Year, and the mid-point of the fast-moving National Hunt season, our attention begins to turn towards the major Festivals at Cheltenham, Aintre

Yea + the horses to note agenda he used to do for uping the ante is a lot more in depth. Usually those who haven’t won first time out and handicap plots etc they are usually his biggest odds winners.
Has a piece out this week on how he analyses sectionals/ race pace which am looking forward to.
I believe it’s three months before you can do it. Had a note in my diary to do it at end of December, but ended up booking first week in January with no problem.
