Is there any chance you could 'record' it, get yourself in a bubble, make sure ALL your bets are on, then watch it back after work?
I did that once for the Aintree meeting (the year Annie Power won by 50 odd lengths) as I had to attend a training course.
I absolutely loved it, phone off for the day, fast forward through the adverts....made it exciting.
It's the only way I'd enjoy Match Of The Day..... if I ever miss the football result, I make sure I don't check them then watch it 'live'...

- I have terrible bets, no chance any of them would be connecting.
Anyway, more seriously..... surely watching at work isn't exactly ideal for arbing and laying off either?.... get the bets on, let them ride and see where you are at the end of the day..... not enjoying the whole experience just because you might have squeezed a few extra quid for a multiple on the day.... watching on your phone, instead of at home on a big TV with some beers..... naaaaaaaaaaah.
If you can't watch it live, I'd try and recreate it live.
I've convinced myself and I'm not even working

The day Annie Power fell clashed with a Parents' evening and - working just over Cleeve Hill with families that were into the racing as much as me - it was a nightmare. Not helped by wearing my "lucky" pink tie with fluorescent green/yellow spots. I should have known that the pitying looks I was getting weren't just for having to put up with their little darlings every day!

Phone off at lunch, finish the day, get all the marking done and settle down for the "live racing" at about 7ish (or was it half 3...). Watch all the build up and the races and then start studying the form for the following day. Turns out 3 hours sleep for 3 days straight isn't good for you (or the children)! I don't think I had a bet on the Friday one year as I was so ill by then I now struggle on to the course with a bottle of lucozade and spend all day moaning about my feet instead...

They take me off driving the week before the Festival as I’m a danger to myself and the public. I find it too hard to concentrate so my colleagues now allow me to take Cheltenham week as leave when needed as it’s safer for everyone!! I’ve always bought a curry the following week as a thank you but I’m no use to anyone for the most of March

First was visiting a sick friend in hospital while the Liverpool vs Arsenal game was on live the year when Arsenal won 1-0 at Anfield to win the title. Skillfully avoided seeing or hearing any TVs in the hosptal rooms, made sure radio was off in the car, got home, beer in hand to watch the VCR recording, only to turn on the TV and see the result on the 10pm news...Right result so was delighted but never watched the game.
Second was Arsenal vs Liverpool Cup Final at Cardiff, same day as daughters birthday at Thorpe Park followed by meal somewhere. Once again got through entire day and evening without knowing the result. Too tired for some reason to watch that night, so got up early to watch in the morning. Arsenal beaten easily, rubbish game, wish I hadn't bothered.
TOTG - just hope nobody tells you when Goshen hoses up in the CH....
