tbh Q I can't imagine you'll be alone. I took a load of my work mates last year having had them follow it for a few years and they all left saying "what's the fuss about, it was pretty shit really" and they have no interest in coming back

Off to Dublin in Feb, and giving chelt a miss. Never been before, but as Q says it’s much cheaper and it’s easier to get to from my neck of the woods. Think it was 55 quid for two days top racing. If it’s as good as I’m hoping, think I’ve done my last March Cheltenham, and Dublin will be way forward.

Saturday was a ballache at the bars as they were not checking people's tickets properly for the premium section.
But our lass was on bar duty so wasn't a bother for me

Always go away Cheltenham week, usually Lanzarote, Red hot, cheap beer, loads of screens, and I don’t have to pay ?7.50 for a paper cup to drink from. Been to Cheltenham festival for four days before, wouldn’t go back. The holiday for 10 days including spending money costs me less than the festival would.

Haven’t been back to the Fez since Covid
after several years as a annual pass owner, the novelty appears to have worn off
i loved the races on Tuesday, and being there, plus you’re able to get all of your final bets on, you know what’s running 48 hours and you can enjoy the day. However, the fez is the highlight for me in terms of trying to solve the biggest challenge - picking out winners, and do to that effectively I need to be sober, awake and behind a laptop
I’m starting to look at going to the DRF as that event where you can throw a 4-5 time fav acca the morning of the event and then just enjoy the festival with more than a few pints… and then return back to focus on Cheltenham
My best festival was during that first lock down, and I enjoy the racing on the tele just as much as I was there. I mean, Cheltenham is a great place to be when the weather is nice but jesus…. it miserable when it’s hammering it down, it didn’t look like fun on Ladies Day back in march
anyway… DRF for me as my “just enjoy the racing” and staying at home for March’s festival
