….I was at Aintree some years ago to pick up one of my kids who was taking an exam in the arena. The course looked idyllic and peaceful & for the only time in my life, I thought what a lovely place to rest in peace.
A bit morbid but I’ve got so many happy memories of the place & in that moment it was a haven.Last edited by Eggs; 22 August 2022, 06:54 PM.

Saxon, I’m assuming I’ll need to deposit from different bank accounts etc with my wife’s new betting accounts?
To be honest I’m baffled. The winning returns I’ve had from PP in the two years I’ve had the account have been small fry, never more than three figures, and I almost never bet more than a tenner. Their exposure to me must be minuscule, so how I’ve attracted attention and they’ve decided I should be restricted is beyond me.

In Prestbury for the week with the family, and just had a walk over to the edge of the course. They’ve obviously been watering but there’s a fair few bare patches and it definitely needs a fair bit of rain.
Only seven months to go…

Grand National takes place on Saturday 15th April 2023 - 29 days after Gold Cup day.
First take we've had a 4 week gap for a fair while... Hopefully that means we'll see plenty run at both. Also for anyone looking at National Hunt Chase/Cross Country horses who may run at Aintree, that gives them 31/32 days to recover for the Nash.
Last time we had a 4-week gap was in 2018. Tiger Roll won the Cross Country and Grand National!Last edited by RoadToCheltenham; 24 August 2022, 01:53 PM.

For those interested in these things, I've finally got my 2023 diaries up and running. My multiples are all up to date, but my singles diary will be a work in progress because of the detail I include. My Supreme Novices book and analysis is complete already and the others will continue to follow as time permits.
Could I ask for your feedback on any holes that you can see, or any obvious errors as I don't want to mislead with stats. Plus any additional stats or trends you may have picked up in addition to those I cover. I'm also happy to answer any questions anyone has.
Thanks in advance for any comments or contributions you guys make.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
