Put it this way, if you are allowed to have 5000 pounds worth of AP bets your P&L is zero until they settle, but if they all lost you record a 5000 pound loss which takes losses well beyond the thresholds that are current being banded around.
AP bets therefore have to be considered losers until their settlement confirms otherwise.
I’d love to be wrong but not sure how I can be.
I had a lengthy battle with Betfred around 7/8 months ago who claimed that despite the lifetime of the account being considerably profitable my recent ‘losses’ exceeded their internal limits forcing account closure pending financial interrogation, however, there were no losses on the account whatsoever, just a significant number of Cheltenham bets that hadn’t yet settled…
