Last fence fall in the Turners meant neither came to fruition, but interesting if anything similar is offered this time. I posted one earlier so they are appearing..

Willie Mullins has 3 horses, at the moment, that ran at this years festival and will retain their novice status for next year's Fez. This couldn't be common for him to have 3??
Is the market overlooking Gaelic Warrior and Il etait temps? It was GW first run for Willie and it was at cheltenham so it's actually a great scenario for him as a trainer. He knows their flaws, il etait temps pulled for majority of the race and Gaelic warrior jumped right for majority of his race. Willie to iron out their flaws in 12 months??
If Gaelic Warrior had not got such a low rating from the handicapper, would Willie have ran him over hurdles this year? He could have ran him in couple of bumpers like mercurey and if he won them he would be single digit price for next year's supreme, even at this stage. Nobody would know he jumps out to the right, but now we do and the best trainer knows he jumps right

Il Etait Temps was so keen it was impossible for the horse to win the Triumph after the way it went through the race, could this be another Ha d'or who was also far too free on his first season but then didn't really learn the following year? Definitely would be a watching brief with regards to both horses.

Gaelic Warrior had the run of the race and still couldn't win at Cheltenham. It was Townend who was leading the pack throughout and he got done by a speedier horse. I think he'll need to improve a lot to reach the normal standard of a Ballymore winner and I wouldn't even factor him into my thinking for that race unless he shows much improved form in the grade 1 at Punchestown this week.
If Gaelic Warrior hadn't got such a low rating, I'd suspect he would have been left until next year or followed the path of Il Etait Temps where it would have been win a grade 1 and the loss of the novice tag next year doesn't matter or running well in defeat gives him good experience for a novice campaign next year.
