Hello Fat Jockeys,

But would there be as many people there without those dickheads is my point?

I genuinely don't know if they'd sell out all four days with racing purists. And I have no idea of what the jockey clubs business plan is like and how they reinvest the money. So I probably shouldn't have commented

I am a big believer in letting people enjoy themselves as they wish though, as long as they're causing no harm to others.

Allaho, Constitution Hill, Energumene & Ferny Hollow all to win any race @ 200/1
This is still down as unsettled... Don't get me hopeful

Echo your first sentence though. Thanks for all the opinions and insight all. Been a pleasure!

Looking forward to the next one.

      • Could and hope it is a one off year due to normality being back and people acting as if we were all locked away for a century.

I’d say because of COVID last year, this year was a certainty to sell out.

Thankfully the Tuesday and Wednesday didn’t see or hear of any shit, seemed like a decent crowd.

You couldn’t help but hear the chanting before the last, commentator mentioned it, so obviously didn’t approve, it wouldn’t matter if it was ?5 or ?10 those idiots will get hammered.

I felt my time there on the first 2 days was majority of horse racing fans, not sure what others experiences were?
I was stationed in line with the winning line most of the 2 days.

I was more talking about the ridiculous price of booze there!

Gold Cup day will always be for casual fans out for the day so no point in thinking any different.

                  LHomme Presse - 1st 9/4
Christopher Wood - 6th 40/1 (place would have paid)
                  Funambule Sivola - 2nd 40/1
                  Frero Banbou - 3rd 6/1
Fanion Destruval - 4th out of places
                  Chambard - 1st 40/1
                  Didero Vallis - 3rd 66/1

Got 3 tomorrow - Green Book, Royal Pagaille and Pink Legend.
Friday wasn't bad either with 2 5ths and a 2nd. Well done Venetia. I don't think there are many trainers better at training chasers.

                    • Been a thinking… was GDC a plot all along last year? Willie says he doesn’t really plot, but no way did that tool perform to scratch over 2m earlier in the season. Beaten by Ballyadam, Hook Up, and Irascible at the DRF.

The excuse that the step up in trip bought the best out of him is rubbish too, now that Willie has said they could send him back to 2m.

Or maybe they changed his running style …

I was also very pleasantly surprised to see that RAB settled as a full price winner! I was sure it would be adjusted to maybe SP equivalent of the 3 remaining legs but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth

                        • Just watched the gold cup again, A Plus Tard springed out after the last fence, and just went!!!

Thinking back, he won the Betfair Chase at haydock with ease. He just bolted up in the Gold Cup.
cant stop thinking he may have gone well at Kempton

could they go for the Triple crown next year? I would go the same route as this year but…

                          • Why not. A brief look at the last 3 King George's doesn't aspire much confidence. If A Plus Tard did turn up, Nicholls wouldn't have the slam dunk result he, and some elements of the media think he will have, with Bravemansgame.

I had this same bet but it looks settled now as a loser.

It will be interesting to see where he goes next year. Shall we start the 30 page debate off now??
