What a couple of days brilliant entertainment but unfortunately suffering a bloody nose so far lol had a standing count and will need to come out stronger second half. New tactics needed and will need to shoot more from outside the box as this going changes everything. Still it's not a sprint it's always a marathon. 2nd half whistle blowing.!!!!!!!! MON THE WINNERS

As expected, the Irish have absolutely dominated the 2 handicap hurdles so far (Suprise Package told us that was likely after the weekend) whereas the 2 handicap chases have gone to the British.
Boodles: 3 of the top 5 Irish.
Coral Cup: 4 of the first 5 Irish with 7 of top 10 Irish.
Ultima: Top 5 all from the UK
Grand Annual: 5 of the top 6 from the UK.
Weather may have affected the results today but something to note for Thursday and Friday.

That ground ruined many a hope. Not just bets, but dreams for trainers and owners.
Hope it's better tomorrow.

Other thoughts:
The Dipper Chase at Cheltenham on New Years Eve has worked well this festival - L'Homme Presse won, Oscar Elite 3rd and Fantastikas 7th. The Glancing Queen and Come on Teddy to run tomorrow.
Handicap hurdles been won by those near the top of the handicap, whereas the chases won by those at the bottom.
Both hurdles also won by those near the front of the field (caveat that the Boodles was slowly ran so likely to be the case and the heavy ground today made it pretty much impossible for the hold up horses to get near in the Coral Cup).
Chases been mixed but favoured those racing prominently - it took the ride of the festival for Derek Fox to weave Corach Rambler to the front.
10 of the winners raced at Cheltenham before. 7 of those at a Cheltenham Festival before.
