Vauban, Blue Lord and Facile Vega. Any of those well beaten with no excuses would hurt a lot. Problem is if they all win it doesn't really mean much other than increased cash outs I won't be taking anyway More nervous than excited for this weekend!
In hindsight, probably should have posted this in the daily racing forum, but my fingers are far too cumbersome to cut & paste it on the iPhone now I’ve typed it up
With 6 or even 7 places available each way I think top moon could be a little bit of value tomorrow in the handicap hurdle. I know you’re always at risk to a more unexposed well handicap type in these races, and you’ve got the typical ones much more forward in the market but I think you’re getting enough compensation for that in the price.
JoB does well at this meeting typically, he’s had a few winners since the meeting has existed and last year had one winner as well as a bunch that came second or third and some which narrowly missed out on placing too, and top moon himself came 2nd at a huge price in the handicap chase over 2 miles here last year.
His form over the winter hasn’t been great, since running a nice race to come third in the Munster national, he’s been pulled up twice in staying handicap chases where he’s not jumped particularly well, he’s had a spin over hurdles since though where he did manage to complete and ran a respectable race coming 3rd of 5 runners - was obviously never going to be off in a race like that. Wore first time blinkers when third in the Munster national, has worn either cheek pieces or no headgear in his efforts since but the blinkers go back on tomorrow which is hopefully a positive.
He’s 6lb well in on his hurdles mark compared to his chase mark, and still remains somewhat unexposed at this longer trip - despite being pulled up twice at 3 miles I don’t think he’s a non-stayer, he never went a yard in the troytown and was pulled up early on, then everything went wrong for him in the paddy power at Christmas.
Also gets a decent claimer on too tomorrow, taking another 5lb off.
I have two Cheltenham Tats Club tickets for the 3rd day (Thursday) of the fez.Ryanair and Stayers Hurdle day. ?95 each (face value). Please p.m. me if of interest.
I’m a bit nervous tbh. Haven’t quite covered every angle like I normally would, so could be left playing catch up after the weekend. Hopefully have more answers than questions by then though.

….yep, a few bubbles could be burst or enhanced over the next two days at Leopardstown. Not long to wait.
Can someone help me locate where Leopardstown is on the TV today? Racing TV schedule says Sandown, Musselburgh and Wetherby only. Checked on the Racing TV app and there is no live feed from Ireland on there?! I know it is a bit early but I thought a feed would be up now if they were showing the racing there
