I have had Mister Coffey in mind for some time for the plate. I notice that Hills have introduced him at 20s. His rating has been steady for a while now and he clearly needs to go left handed over mid distance a combo he hasn’t had yet over fences and I am convinced then he will find plenty when everything slots into place. Sky have had him at 25s any race for some time, mainly I believe because they mistakenly thought he would be aimed at graded races. Of even more appeal is they have him at 5s for a place any race which considering hills have put him in at 20s is fair value imo.

….16-1 in Hills market.
So, Saxon Warrior is it time to start up the handicap threads with your introductions? Hills now have a number of markets.Last edited by Eggs; 30 December 2021, 01:59 PM.

I don't know how many here are fans of Blaklion but that was stirring stuff at Haydock just now, I hope connections don't get too ambitious and focus on picking up some more minor pots (e.g. veteran chases, lesser regional nationals)
Saw this interview with John Francome recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c--Lj8eko7o
I agree with quite a lot of what he says including the standard of jockeys - so often horses are falling in the closing stages (even when not in contention). It seems jockeys have forgotten that the prime directive is to get round and complete in the best possible position, even if that means popping slowly and safely over the last fences.
