truly depressing stuff, we’ve just got to start moving on or we’ll be stuck in this rut forever
It appears to be a staffing issue rather than anything else.

Dropping this obsession with testing everything that coughs be a fine start on the road back to normality surely though

Will that not just increase the problem further with people going to work/office Christmas party/ dinner with grandma with the virus and therefore spreading it further. Ignorance and being selfish isn’t the answer!

Absolutely this. My better half works in Southmead which is classed as a 'Super' hospital covering a wide area and the Covid numbers in wards are minimal and decreasing. The issue is with the normal winter wave of different bugs and particularly staff isolating and beds being used up by people who could leave but haven't anyone to look after them. Plenty are being sent to Hotels now to free up space but money needs to be pumped into the system to sort the after care out. Covid is not the biggest problem at all.

Ah sure I could bang on about my opinions on it at length, as could many others with different opinions no doubt, like anything political it’s an emotive issue and my bad for bringing it up in the first place, as it’s not a discussion that really needs to take place on this site. Enough of it elsewhere. Frustration at the situation got the better of me

Totally understand your frustration and I’m surprised by Leopardstown’s announcement re crowds but we’re all frustrated by the current situation. However I don’t think people being ignorant towards the virus and going out and about knowing they probably have it but choose to not find out is the right way of going about things. We’ll never get back to normality if everyone acts so selfishly and to be honest downright stupid.

I guess we’ll agree to disagree… it’s not really a discussion I want to continue on here.

                    • Has anyone else Betfair cashouts changed over last few days? All bets now showing as the original stake amount or less, even ones that had a decent cashout profit a few days ago.

                        • There are so many new members to this forum I really do feel like an injured footballer coming back to training after a year off and no one having a clue who I am in my old club top. If I’m honest, since I became a Patreon I’ve evolved into a lurker and have found myself just reading comments and contributing very little, if I was a horse I would be like Champagne Classic, I showed a fair bit of promise and expectation early on and have since disappeared off the face of the earth (I’m going to have to search now to see if Champagne Classic is now so far into the food chain he’s been recycled by nature 5 times or eating hay in a field far far away) (probably a poor shout, I should have picked a Tizzard horse)
Anyway I have come to conclusion I am cursed in life both from a betting view and a physical view so please factor in my special limitations when I post and help me on my way through life.

                          • Serious rain around Leopardstown all day yesterday

The drainage is good there but has to be heavy ground now

Might be something to factor into any bets

There is great drainage there PP

I live 3 miles from course and our roads were partially flooded yesterday

I am not sure what 45mm of rain would do to another course but genuinely surprised It is not going to be heavy
