I wish them all the luck in the world.... like when Ricci was throwing cash at it..... and JP deserves every winner he gets.
The more money rich people pump in, the more we get to type on our keyboards about it.
Thanks to them.

Could be prize money, training fees, tax laws, handicap system who knows, but the disparity doesn't exist on the flat.
The great things about NH racing now is that we have JP, Giggs, Robcour, Ricci, Beactive stud, the Donnellys and I'm bound to have missed one or two, but there's deep competition...

Ireland are world leading in the sport, even on the flat they're competitve with Coolmore and AOB.
It'll go in cycles.... when I got into the sport, Nicholls was dominating..... Irish P2P and French racing are hot now.... but everything will come around... we're all on the same side... I think

I personally don't even see it as Irish versus British, I have more of an affinity to Irish horses than British.... where they're from doesn't really matter (not suggesting you think it does either of course), but for me it's just cycles....

It was the same with a few French horses year ago, Baracouda and The Fellow cam here several times so you grow an affinity with them...

Antepost betting on the Festival is just about as straightforward as I remember with a significant number of winners likely to come from 4 stables, with perhaps another 3 or 4 stables with reasonable chances. Essentially twenty something winners are relatively easily found just by focusing on the right stables. Over the last 10 years it has become progressively more predictable. Go back prior to that it was much harder.

A cautionary tale for those relying on cash out down the line...
Had the plug pulled on my B365 account today. Mainly consisted of antepost bets on the Festival, a few regular racing bets thrown in etc. Was v careful, no home wifi, mobile data only, cleared cookies before and after, didn't take best prices.
Account not closed but cash out withdrawn and stake reduced to pennies. Have a large number of bets that I was planning on tweaking as we moved through the season, but am now stuck with them - will be interesting to see the account balance come close of play on March 18th.
My guess is RWF did me in. Didn't back it at Navan but he features in a significant number of NH Chase and Grand National bets. Must have raised a flag, piqued somebody's interest on a quiet Monday, seen some decent positions on horses that have shortened in price and then given me the 'fuck off' pill.

It’s unlikely to have been one position on a single horse as they always have the option of refusing you a bet on one horse/race or suspending cashout on that horse, it’s just your turn sadly.
UK bookmakers are a joke, I talk to a few matea in the US and they can’t believe bookmakers close/restrict punters over here, ultimately bookies and the regulator will only accommodate small stakes recreational punters who always lose but in small amounts, the moment you prove to be a winner you’re shut down, embarrassing…

Australia won’t permit punitive restrictions, or the bookmakers licence will be revoked.

Seems maybe US is similar to Australia.
Makes you wonder when the UK will get that parity given to its customers.
A bit of government legislation on the matter wouldn’t come amiss, along with an industry regulator with teeth."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".
