Interesting from the RP that HDB was happy to let Russell and Kennedy keep riding Minella Indo and Envoi Allen but that Gordon has insisted he rides his entries
Jack Kennedy's ability to get the best out of Delta Work was the deciding factor in Gordon Elliott demanding the rider partner his horse instead of... Read More
That said "insisted" is doing some heavy lifting there. If you're retained jockeys and your boss has entries in the same race, that's your job right?

That article is so unfair in so many ways. Not only are they both paid to ride for Gordon, but Rachael is paid to ride for Henry, can’t imagine her being too pleased to see other jockeys getting the leg up on some of his best horses.
Kennedy got the ride on indo because he was basically the yards second string at the time and I’m sure he fess thrilled to be in the right place at the right time getting asked with the way things panned out but I’d be amazed if he had any expectation of keeping it this season in preference of the retained rider at Henry’s.
Article totally unfounded IMO trying to create a story out of nothing.

Carlisle has to be in serious doubt. Rained for 36 hours straight and no signs of it easing up.
I know someone who works at the course - will try and catch them and see what the vibes are.... suppose it all just depends if we get a break in the rain.
