    • Fair play to Paul Nicholls, this side of the water has taken the mother of good hidings this season, nice to get a good one in the bag.

      • Very good win but of course won't have any bearing on next year's Fez.

          Hes had a good year

          Though mainly because

          Henderson
          Tizzard
          Hobbs

have had awful years, must be their lowest win counts for some time

Any horse from those 3 thats had a good year (shiskin, thyme hill) needs marking up id say

            • I’m sure plenty already know about this, but I set up a Ladbrokes account soon after Cheltenham ended this year and almost every day they give out a €1 free bet, great for chipping away at multiples for the festival next year

              • Was looking at HDB's form at Punchestown as people are saying his horses are running poorly. Unlike Willie, who has ran many of his top G1 horses, Henry has only had Envoi and Telmesomethinggirl from his top table horses and both of those had excuses. The remainder have ran so, so but lots at big prices. Let's judge him tomorrow when he runs probably the best older horse and best younger horse in training. Let's see how it unfolds.

                  Would disagree with this.
Captain Guiness a good 10’lengrhs worse off with Energumene vs DRF

He will have been disappointed with Magic Daze given he skipped Fairyhouse only to be beaten 17l

Also think he will be disappointed with Grand Jury

Even those 3 , none were fav and only Magic Daze was well backed. CG had zero chance v Energumene and GJ was a complete unknown. Judge him on his 2 big guns today who will be his only 2 actual favourites of the whole week.

                      • Well we wont find out much via Bob Olinger, he's a non runner today due to coughing.

                        • Something of a bookies bonanza at punchestown with appreciate it and Bob Ollinger being taken out. Anyone doing multiples last week badly stung including myself. Have no problems when an ante post goes down due to a non runner but should backing horses a few days before an event really be classed as ante post? Interesting what people think.

It's in the price and the gamble you are taking unfortunately! Paid off on Energumene I think someone put it up he was 4/5 few days ago?

                              Works both ways

They couldve stayed in and other horses get pulled and you get no rule 4

                              Swings and roundabouts

I'm fine with markets being ante post until final decs

Yep. Many punters would have backed horses against those 2 as well so they will be happy and the bookies not if they win.
