Hello Fat Jockeys,
Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum
We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Just seen cloth cap has been given a handicap rating of 162 after winning that Kelso race
Well he will need to win the national because he will never win a handicap again in his life
No wonder UK based trainers can't win any Cheltenham handicaps with horses getting put up that much
he beat Aso an 11yo that doesn't stay and hasn't won a race since Tony Blair was prime minister

I’ve offered all sorts of info that confirms source of funds but they have been insistent on seeing bank statements, no doubt ulterior motives so that’s another short and sweet relationship.
Shops really will be key moving forward, I had never fully appreciated their value until they were forced to close...

Sadly the approach of both bookmakers and the gambling commission is sending punters to unregulated bookies, bookies who do not contribute to the levy and therefore the running of the racing industry, big problems ahead for the game I fear...

Someone who is restricted to 100 quid per month on Hills can simply go into their bank, withdraw 500 quid and visit as many bookmakers as they like to get their bets on.
Nowt the gov can do. Even if bookies restrict stakes, most urban areas are full of bookies. I could walk to 6 in less than an hour right now if they were open.
I'm all for gambling controls and helping people when help is needed, but the whole concept of affordability checks disgusts me. It's a disgrace in a free society. What next? Checking CCTV in bars to make sure lads ordering massive rounds can afford it? Not letting people buy loads of clothes on a credit card? Limiting the amount of alcohol someone can buy in a supermarket? Its an absolute farce attempting to restrict peoples lives in that way.

I’d love to think there’ll be a boom in shop turnover as this will increase the amount racing receives so will be good news for the sport, but I just think the modern way of pressing buttons is now engrained in the majority.
When bookies started culling online punters 10 years ago or so I genuinely thought it would drive people to the course and create better competition in the ring, a bit like it was 20 years ago before exchanges took over, but I was wrong.
Sadly there will be an ever increasing percentage of punters going underground, black market, and there is no reverse button with this...

I can imagine they’ll introduce something similar into shops in the future like a compulsory betting card that is linked to your online account, where they keep a full profile on you that you have to produce in order to place a bet. I think Ladbrokes and corals already have these, just not compulsory yet.
