Ruby and Barry talking through some famous races of theirs'

Whilst neither is much of a tipster, I could listen to them talk about how a race pans out all day. The amount of times one stops the other to point something out on their race is quite something

          • He said Maze Runner

Who I believe I’ve seen is ruled out on here

            • I didn’t see the article, but I believe it was Maze Runner, then Ruby Walsh says on the PP preview last night that Maze Runner wasn’t coming over when Tony Mullins mentioned Maze Runner while discussing the MP race.

Make of that what you may.... you wouldn’t think they are both from the same yard....

                • Are we expecting many horses to be taken out tomorrow at the 6 day stage,as in does it cost more to leave a horse in till the last possible declaration. If there's no more entry fees will most trainers just wait till as late as possible to make final decisions?

                    • Is nobody concerned about the change of trainer in the GE debacle. A new unknown trainer taking over as the named trainer. As of tonight most of entries still showing in Elliot traineeship, apart from those physically moved. The 6 day entries out tomorrow for day 1. It has to be a big negative for all the chances

I think you've summed it up ....... "taking over as the named trainer"..... what do you think she's going to have gone in and changed?

I'd be baffled if she's made any change at all.... bar maybe the photo's on the desk?

Gordon won't have been doing every single thing all by himself, they'll have systems, teams, people in place and responsible for everything and it'll be ticking over the same as it was?

I'm not worried about it at all

                        • The only other thing that will have changed is Gordon’s phone bill if he hasn’t got unlimited minutes, I imagine he is sat at home on the phone all day every day

Nothing has changed other than the name on the liscence

Caught this on youtube late last night, similar to you I could listen to them both all day long. So insightful

Just goes to show how important it is to get the ride right at the festival, and even the Greats get it wrong sometimes. I remember the year Yanworth was beat, I was waiting on a big return, and remember watching back and seeing the difference rides given by Barry and Ruby.

What I took out of that clip was

                              1) Reiterates the benefit and advantage of having an experienced jockey onboard
                              2) You need a horse that travels at pace

I know none of this new, but its help narrow down the fields

I was going to ask the same.. probably a stupid question but what’s the difference between a 6 day and 48 hour dec?
